Team Name | 1st | 2nd | 3rd | Final |
---|---|---|---|---|
Angels | 1 | 3 | 1 | 5 |
Timberwolfs | 2 | 0 | 0 | 2 |
The Angels could have a completely different record if just a couple of pucks go a different way, but for now, its 3 3-2 losses.
The start of the game against the Timberwolfs wasn't encouraging for the Angels as J. Heid scores the first goal of the game 4 minutes into the game. T. Croat would restore a tie for the Angels towards the end of the period, but the tie would only last 20 seconds as C. Lynch would give the lead back to the Timberwolfs. The first period would end with the T-wolfs are up 2-1.
But it would be all Angels from here one out. The second period would start with a goal from M. McCully to bring the game back to a 2-2 tie. 7 minutes later, McCully would add his second goal of the game to give the Angels their first lead. J. Romo would add another 2 minutes later. Romo would add his second in the third period to make the game 5-2, a score that would hold as the final.
It was a big moment when the Angels knew that the final wasn't going to be a 3-2 loss, and was an even bigger moment to finally get that first win. The team hopes to keep on winning as they take on the winless Trailblazers next Monday.
