With just 3 games left, it was win and in for the Bulldogs. But for the Sled Dogs, they are a playing to stay in the playoff hunt as the first team on the outside.
And it was the Sled Dogs who would strike first. J. Cagle opens the scoring with one-timed shot from the slot 3 minutes in. 4 minutes later he would strike again with a wrist shot that gets redirected.
But the Bulldogs would slowly take control of the game, generating the majority of chances from halfway through the first and onwards. The rewards would come late in the first with goals for E. Furlich and D. LaTour to tie the game 2-2 at the end of the first. The Bulldogs would outshoot the Sled Dogs 17-5 in the Second, but no shots found their way to the back of the net.
The Sled Dogs would be the ones to break the tie in the third with A. Nordstrom out of the box and on a breakaway to make it 3-2. With less than 2 minutes to go, Nordstrom adds an empty net insurance goal to make it 4-2.
That's when the craziness started.
With less than 30 seconds to go, the Bulldogs J. Anderson scores to make it 4-3. Just 13 seconds later, S. Swanson buries the game tying goal to make it 4-4 and forcing overtime.
The first shot in overtime 23 seconds in, D. LaTour
