The Bulldogs first quarter of the season has the seen the team endure 1-goal games or tie games. Game #6 did not continue that streak.
The start of the game started of poorly for the Bulldogs. Troopers M. Gjervold and S. Falls both score goals that hit the pads of the goalie but still found the net. The end of the period saw the Bulldogs being outshot 3-10.
Then the game really went off the rails. The Troopers increased the offensive pressure and were rewarded with 5 goals in the space of 4 minutes. M. Paulson starts the spree with two goals in a minute. Gjervold added his second goal to the tally as well.
The Bulldogs finally got on the board with M. Babcock scoring with 5:30 left in the second, but it is far too little too late. The end of the period saw the score at 1-8 with the shots at 8-29.
The third period saw the Bulldogs putting up 3 goals, but the Troopers still got two of their own and the game's final score would be 10-4. M. Gjervold would end up completing the hat trick.
Despite the big loss, the Bulldogs started the previous season slow as well. If there's going to be another push for the postseason, it's going to need to start soon.
