The tough season continues for the Sting as they seem to be coming up short on nearly every close contest.
The Sting continue to give up early goals to the opposition and this game was no exception with a goal for the Royals' S. Durbin to start the game. Once again, Todd Chrun is the one to respond for the Sting, equalizing with 3 minutes left in the first.
A series of breakdowns in the second period made all the difference in the game. M. Jones would be the beneficiary as he scores two goals in the space of thirty seconds. On the other side, J. Meyer stands tall stopping all 16 of 17 shots in the period on the way to stopping 34 of 36 for the win. A goal in the second for Ed Soler would be the last blemish for the Royals 3-2 victory.
The Sting look to get back to winning ways on Monday against the Norsemen.
